Hallmark - A Quality Standards Scheme for Village Halls

In 2007, ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) developed a quality standard scheme for the management of community buildings/village halls, which is called the Hallmark Scheme. ACRE invited TVRCC to operate this scheme in the Tees Valley.

The scheme has three stages;

TVRCC see the scheme to be beneficial to halls, in two main ways:

Participation in the Hallmark Scheme is entirely voluntary.

The Hallmark Scheme is an accredited scheme and participating halls will reach a level of achievement through self assessment and to achieve accreditation will be assessed by two “visitors” who are fully trained volunteers from other halls in the Tees Valley.

If you/your hall wish to participate in Hallmark (or discuss), please email jmccolm@teesvalleyrcc.org.uk or call, on 01642 213852.

On your email could you please give your name, position on the management committee (i.e.Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer or Trustee), your postal address and a contact telephone number.

A checklist to see if your village hall is ready to go for Hallmark level 1 and an entry form for level one can be found below
